Visit Westminster Abbey with Let me show you London, perhaps the most famous Church in the UK. Westminster Abbey might be recognisable to many of you, but if it’s not don’t worry, we’ll lead you around this beautiful Royal Church.

Beginning with the history of Westminster Abbey, Mark and Denisa talk about the evolution and construction of spectacular Church. Touching on it’s use, most, recently as the the main site for Royal coronations, weddings and burials.

Hear about the coronation chair, still in use after some 700 years. Find out how the Church was adapted for the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II in 1953, before pondering what future coronations might look like

We then move on to find out about the many burials and memorials, covering famous names from Royalty, science, literature and exploration. The importance of the people memorialised, proves the significance of the Abbey.

Denisa also tells us about some less obvious features of the Church that may be missed. These include visible damage from bombing during WW2 and the beautiful Cosmati pavement.

We finish with some practical advice for visiting and also our tour guides top tip!
